UNDP|UNOPS Regional Project "Capacity building for improvement National GHG inventories of countries (CIS/Europe region)"
This regional project is based on the results of preparation of the Initial National Communication on climate change and realizes in collaboration with 12 countries. The aim of the project is rising of qualification of the staff, involved in preparation of greenhouse gas inventory, which will be expressed in inventory quality improving and decreasing of emission estimation uncertainties level as the final result. In project implementation countries follow their national priorities.

"Training Program on GHG emission reduction in Caspian Region" of Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA)
Three countries of Caspian region taking part in CIDA Program are Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. The main purpose of the Program is training of specialists from different economy sectors on elaboration and realization of projects on greenhouse gas emission reduction and CDM projects, preparation of project documentation according to rules and standards of international financial agencies and investment funds, participation at carbon project tenders. Three demonstrational projects on afforestation and solar panels use for heating and hot water supply has been realized within the training program at present time in Uzbekistan.

UNEP/Uzbekistan Project: "Implementation of Article 6 of UNFCCC on education, training and public awareness on climate change problem"
Project on realization of Article 6 UNFCCC in Uzbekistan is aimed to strengthening of country’s national potential in the field of education and training on climate change problem and development of propagandistic activity on climate change problem in the republic. Much attention is taken to youth’s education and training on climate change problem in Uzbekistan. This web-site: www.climate.uz is created in framework project. This project is activity on implementation of Uzbekistan’s commitments on UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

UNEP/Uzbekistan Project "Preparation of Second National Communication on Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan under UNFCCC"
The project is directed to the extension of scientific and technical researches on climate change impact and extreme climate occurrences, studying of emission factors, strengthening of systematic observations potential and early notification of climate disasters, vulnerability and adaptation assessment of different socio-economic sectors, working out of strategy, which allows reducing climate change negative consequences in the country. The project will continue and extend Uzbekistan’s activity on solving problems, connected with climate change.

Uzbekistan/GEF/UNDP Project "National Capacity Self-Assessment on Global Ecological Conventions (NCSA)"
NCSA Project is aimed to the unification of efforts of all interested parties, involved to the implementation of UN Ecological Conventions, for determination of needs and potential’s prioritized development directions at the national level, development of potential providing at the national level, involving local government to the dialogue and development of local initiative, implementation of adequate decision for jointly fulfillment of commitments on UN International Ecologic Conventions.

TACIS Project "Technical Assistance to Central Asian countries in implementation of their commitments on global climate change"
TACIS Regional Project is aimed to the assistance to Central Asian countries in working out of institutional and technical possibilities for their participation at UNFCCC and Kyoto Protocol, strengthening of countries’ possibilities at macro-economic modeling and estimation of climate change mitigation potential, strengthening of CDM problems and GHG reduce public awareness.
